Kinja'd!!!

So this has been a heck of a winter over here on the east coast. I live in MD and we got slammed a few weeks ago before xmas and then again a few days ago. So far my little diesel has been chugging along just fine through the winter even down to zero degree mornings but a few days ago apparent the inside of my intercooler got a little icey and thawed just enough to where my car choked on some water. It seems to be okay again now even today where it was 7 degrees.

I was seeing how all of your vehicles are holding up to this extreme cold weather ?

My subaru hates the cold. Super loud on starts, clutch hates me, shakes like a mother..

Yup a lot of cars will run like crap until they hit running temp when it's really cold my clutch is hard to push and releases really slow and getting in and out of gears is frustrating

Well, my 14 year old Saturn SL2 is basically unkillable. I put new batteries in all our cars every 3 years...just isn't worth the hassle of getting stuck somewhere with a dead battery. It starts up fine even in "0" degrees here in South Central PA (York)....of course it sounds like a farm tractor...but it's paid for and it gets me back and forth to work.

Whats interesting is that I thought my cruiser would really hate the cold...but it doesn't. It fires quick and warms up without complaint. The automatic doesn't like to go into 4th until its a little warmer but...no problems. It fired after like half a crank after sitting out in 15 degree weather this last weekend.

Except for my brand new struts clunking and thunking over bumps, Camry's been fine.

I can deal with the stiff clutch, shifter, and steering. Makes her feel more SPORTY.

-30 windchill tonight, FUCKING YAY.

Some cars don't mind and mine doesn't usually but the whole frozen intercooler thing is a bit of a worry, and it takes a pretty long time to warm up because its diesel

as long as she gets the job done ! and yeah the new battery thing is smart because back when I drove my dads f250 last winter BOTH batteries took a crap when it got too cold and it had to sit at my work for a week until it was warm enough to work on it

The STI takes a little extra to start if it sits for too many days. Probably just the battery getting old, still running the original in an 07.
